Harris Fort Bend County ESD 100 Communications Center Grand Opening

Harris Fort Bend County ESD 100 had the Grand Opening of their new Communications Center on June 24, 2023.

The new dispatch communications center, known as "WestCom" is located at South Peek Road and Beechnut Street. WestCom will be dispatching for multiple fire departments and EMS agencies on the West side of Houston. This facility is capable of withstanding winds of up to 150 mph and has a dedicated self-supporting radio tower along with multiple backup electrical generators with different fuel sources, servers and UPS to guarantee operations at all times.
